End-of-Life Notice
The EaseAir Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitor has reached End of Life (EOL). The website at https://easeair.com (the "Site") and the EaseAir companion application (the "App") are maintained only as an informational and post-sales support portal for existing customers. No new purchases, subscriptions, or orders are processed through the Site; any residual purchase-related UI elements are non-functional. This Policy explains what we still collect, why, and your rights.
1. Who We Are
MAKEX GLOBAL GROUP PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in the Republic of Singapore with registered address at 7500A Beach Road, #04-307 The Plaza, Singapore 199591, operates the EaseAir brand. In this Policy "EaseAir", "we", "us", or "our" refer to MAKEX GLOBAL GROUP PTE. LTD.
EU / UK Representative (Article 27). We have not currently designated a representative in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK) under Article 27 of the GDPR / UK GDPR. If you are located in the EEA or the UK and wish to contact us regarding this Policy or your rights, please email [email protected]. We will designate a representative if and when required by applicable law.
2. Information We Collect
Because we no longer sell through the Site, what we collect is limited to what is needed for post-sales support and basic Site operation:
- Information you provide: your name, email, shipping address (where needed for a warranty replacement), phone (if you provide it), order/serial numbers and proof-of-purchase for warranty claims, legacy account credentials (username, hashed password, preferences), and the content of your communications with us.
- Automatically collected: IP address, device and browser information, approximate location inferred from IP, pages viewed, and basic error / diagnostic logs; cookies and similar technologies for security, preferences (such as language), and — where consent is given — analytics (e.g., Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager).
- From third parties: network and security signals from Cloudflare (our hosting, CDN, and edge-security provider), legacy payment confirmations from PayPal, and delivery / address data from shipping partners for warranty shipments.
We do not collect new payment details, biometric data, or precise real-time geolocation through the Site.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only to: (a) provide post-sales support and handle warranty, return, and refund claims on legacy orders; (b) operate and secure the Services, including fraud and abuse prevention; (c) meet legal, tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and product-safety obligations, and respond to lawful requests; (d) send transactional service notices (such as warranty-expiry reminders, security advisories, and EOL updates); and (e) conduct limited analytics to keep the Site functional during the EOL wind-down.
We do not use your information for new marketing, and we do not engage in solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR / UK GDPR. Where we rely on consent (for example, for non-essential cookies in the EEA / UK), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent reasonably necessary:
- Infrastructure and support providers: Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, WAF, DDoS mitigation), email / ticketing providers, analytics tools, and fraud-detection services;
- Legacy-transaction processors: PayPal and shipping partners, limited to historical orders and warranty-related shipments;
- Professional advisors: lawyers, auditors, and insurers, bound by confidentiality;
- Authorities: where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law;
- Corporate transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or similar event, your information may be transferred subject to equivalent protections.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Depending on jurisdiction (such as California), certain cookie-based or analytics uses may be treated as "sale" or "sharing" — see §7.
5. International Transfers
We are based in Singapore. Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in Singapore, the United States, the EEA, and the United Kingdom. Your personal information is stored on servers outside mainland China; we do not substantively transfer it to data centers within mainland China. Where transfers out of the EEA, the UK, or other restricted jurisdictions occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK IDTA / UK Addendum, and comparable mechanisms. Contact [email protected] for further information.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, subject to longer retention where required by law:
- Legacy accounts, order and warranty records — until you request deletion or until the Site / App is decommissioned, whichever comes first, subject to statutory tax / accounting retention (typically 5–10 years);
- Customer-support correspondence — up to three (3) years after the matter is closed, unless law requires longer;
- Cookies / analytics — first-party analytics cookies expire within 13 months; aggregated reports up to 24 months.
On final decommissioning, we will delete, de-identify, or anonymize information no longer needed, and give advance notice where feasible.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority — for example the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore, the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), your national supervisory authority in the EEA (listed at https://edpb.europa.eu/), or the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) / California Attorney General.
- California (CCPA / CPRA). You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information), and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for the browser or device that sends them. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.
- Singapore (PDPA). You may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, and withdraw any consent previously given.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (for EEA / UK residents, ordinarily within one month; for California residents, within 45 days; for Singapore residents, within 30 days). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Cookies
We use two categories of cookies and similar technologies on the Site:
- Strictly necessary — for security (including Cloudflare security cookies), session management, and preferences such as language. These cannot be disabled without breaking Site functionality.
- Optional (analytics) — to understand Site usage on an aggregated, pseudonymous basis (for example, Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager). In the EEA / UK these fire only after you give consent through our cookie banner; you may withdraw consent at any time.
We do not set advertising or remarketing cookies on the Site. You may also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13 (or the applicable digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in certain EEA Member States). If you believe we may have collected information from a child, please email [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
10. Security, Changes, and Contact
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the EOL wind-down, or applicable law. Material changes will be posted on the Site and, where required by law, notified by email to existing account holders. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acknowledgement, to the extent permitted by law.
